Reporting directly to the EVP, the Vice President of Development is responsible for the development and the implementation of comprehensive plans that support the growth, image and strategic interests of BAMSI, consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, strategic and operational goals.


Up to 10 % travel by car

Build a robust fundraising program at BAMSI that engages every level of the agency in development of a culture of philanthropy.
• Expand and diversify the existing funding base; establish agency wide procedures to capture potential donor information, cultivate prospects, and steward donors.
• Develop a portfolio of major and principal gift donors; build on past efforts to establish a major donor program
• Plan and execute fundraising events.
• Work with Director of Corporate and Foundation Relationships to expand BAMSI’s corporate sponsorship program.
• Work with EVP of Strategy and Business Development and Director of Corporate and Foundation Relationships to develop and implement a nimble grant strategy to meet the agency’s funding priorities.
• Oversee the grant and state contract bid process, in partnership.
• Work closely with CEO, Board Chair, and senior executives to establish and meet annual fundraising goals.
• Act as liaison to the Advisory Board(s)
• Provide timely reports on development efforts with target goals, comparative benchmarks, and analysis of tactics/strategies.
• Oversee management of the organization’s internal and external communications on all technological and non-technological platforms.
• Oversee the daily activities of the Marketing, Philanthropy and Communications including budgeting, planning, strategic plan metrics, and staff development.
• Maintain strong relationships with key internal and external partners, key stakeholders, including board-level contacts.
