A growing, client-centric, and highly collaborative insights agency is looking for an enthusiastic Director, Talent Acquisition (Open to Remote or Boston location) with deep knowledge of the Insights and Market Research industries to create strong talent pipelines for CMB’s current and future hiring needs through innovative candidate attraction strategies and strong partnerships with hiring managers. The Director, Talent Acquisition will ensure a superior candidate experience from applicant through new hire stage. To be successful in this role, developing long-term recruiting strategies and nurturing trusting relationships with potential hires and hiring managers is a must.

This position reports to CMB’s People & Culture Team Lead (based in Boston) and partners closely with hiring managers throughout the organization, as well as our Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Responsibilities and Expectations

Directs, plans, and develops strategies and processes to attract, proactively build, and maintain a quality talent pipeline and fill open positions by sourcing passive and active candidates. Assesses external labor market conditions, develops the most effective, economical, and appropriate sources/channels and methods to recruit talent. Identifies current and future workforce needs. Partners with CMB’s marketing department to create a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Builds and maintains relationships with potential candidates, recruitment agencies, and associations. Ensures candidate pipeline is sufficient to meet workforce needs.

Essential Duties

Responsible for Full-Cycle Recruiting: sourcing, screening, selecting, and hiring top talentPartner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs. Assist with creating job descriptions for open roles. Host “kick off” meetings to determine selection criteria and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements. Post and manage open positions on CMB careers page, job boards, and social network sites. Use of social network sites to promote and create awareness of job openings.
Conduct sourcing activities through LinkedIn Recruiter, social media, in-house talent, and employee referrals to fill open positions. Manage respective candidate pools to ensure qualified candidates remain engaged in current or future opportunities.
Review talent profiles, applications, and resumes to find applicants whose qualifications, skills, and experiences best match CMB needs. Counsel candidates on benefits, salary, and CMB culture.
Manage and conduct interview and selection procedures, including phone screens, assessments, in-person interviews, and extending offers. Partner with hiring managers on in person interview communications.
Partner with hiring managers and P&C Lead on job offers and negotiations.
Partner with hiring managers to ensure new employees feel welcomed and receive relevant new hire onboarding training. Partner with Office Manager on desk location, setup, cleanliness and welcome gift. Administer, submit and file all hiring paperwork for new employees.
Represent CMB internally and externally at events with a goal of networking and relationship building with potential candidate communities
Maintain accurate records on candidates using CMB’s Applicant Tracking System
Communicate regularly with hiring managers and provide regular talent acquisition updates  
Communicate regularly with P&C Lead to get a clear view of CMB’s hiring needs and organizational goals
Partner with P&C Lead and Marketing on employer branding initiatives
Research talent acquisition trends to launch improvements to talent acquisition strategy and tactics
Meet the goals established via a balanced scorecard for the P&C team
As needed, assist with P&C related projects and act as a backup to other members of the P&C team
Other duties as assigned


Bachelor’s Degree in a related area, such as human resources
7+ years of high-volume full life cycle recruiting and onboarding experience, preferably within a professional services organization – market research is a plus
PHR/SHRM certification a plus
Knowledge of human resources concepts, state and federal employment laws, regulations, and compliance
Previous experience maintaining an ATS and HRIS; working knowledge of JazzHR and ADP a plus
Certification in Predictive Index (PI) a plus
Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter for sourcing and posting jobs, as well as familiarity with other sources (e.g.,  social media, resume databases, associations, professional networks)
In-depth knowledge of candidate selection methods

Demonstrated capacity to positively and professionally interact with, and develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of an organization and companies that reflect a broad range of experiences and perspectives

Follow through and responsiveness are a must
Excellent computer knowledge/skills including Microsoft Office
