The City of Watertown is seeking a highly qualified per diem Food Inspector to perform food inspections pursuant to the requirements of 105CMR 590.00. This is an At-Will, non-benefit- eligible position. The applicant is required to have a working knowledge of the State & Federal Food Code. Food Protection Manager certification required.  The applicant must have completed at least 50 Food Inspections. Demonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Job Environment /Physical requirement: Traveling to multiple locations within the City of Watertown and be mostly off site at local establishments. Requires reporting to the office on occasions.

Knowledge & Ability: Must be able to exercise independent judgment and have excellent verbal, written, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects. Proficient in MS Office.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, or related field with experience in a local Public Health setting. Certified Food Service Manager.

SALARY: $31.00 – $35.00 per hour as commensurate with experience. Work schedule 5-7 Hours Per Week
