As part of this effort, our People & Culture team is expanding, allowing us to provide more comprehensive HR support to our valued staff of over 300 working across the U.S. Reporting to Senior Manager, HR Administration, you will play a critical role in providing support and coordination for our  expanding HR processes including onboarding, benefits, payroll, and other employee requests.

Functioning in a true generalist capacity, you will be a front-line resource to employees and will work across teams, systems and processes.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of JFF’s People & Culture team as we strive to provide best-in-class service and experience.  


What you’ll do:   

The Manager, Human Resource Administration will use a customer-focused approach to execute and respond to daily HR operations needs (including onboarding, benefits, payroll support, employment verifications, I-9 compliance, reporting and general HR help requests), while creating a positive employee experience. Core responsibilities include:   

HR Operations and Support:  

Manage and oversee daily HR operations and support employees with questions or concerns.  
Ensure the accuracy of data and compliance with various processes for all JFF employees (regular, temporary and interns), including coordination of I-9 completion, overseeing orientations, trainings, benefits enrollment, personnel file creation and other key topics.    
Manage the onboarding, offboarding and change in employment processes, including scheduling orientations, exit interviews and ensuring all stakeholders are aware of these milestones.  
Monitor the HR email inbox, responding to all employee requests and ensuring timely and accurate responses.  
Complete payroll support processes, employment verifications and other requests as needed.   
Communication and Relationship Building:  

Ensure employee requests and concerns are addressed in a timely manner and documented appropriately, elevating issues to the Sr. Manager, HR Administration when required.  
Clearly communicate complex information to staff and stakeholders related to onboarding and offboarding, employment verifications, benefits administration, professional development and tuition processing and compliance, employee handbook and other related front-facing items as needed.   
Participate in bi-weekly payroll meetings and other cross-organizational meeting requests to ensure employment information is accurate and up to date.  
Listen intently to employee questions and concerns and make recommendations on process and policy improvements when appropriate.  
Who you are:   

You have 3-5 years of experience working in a Human Resources or related administrative/operations capacity, including experience with benefits-related questions and processes.  
You are familiar with HRIS systems such as ADP and are open to learning how to best utilize their functionality. 
You enjoy working broadly across a variety of HR related topics and are comfortable navigating between different processes.  
You are skilled at translating complex information into easier to understand terms.  
You strive to provide a high level of accuracy, customer service and confidentiality at all times in your work and transactions. 
You are a problem solver and possess an inquiry mode of thinking, looking for solutions or improvements based on your observations.  
You possess high energy and passion for JFF’s mission and the ability to apply JFF’s core values to all areas of your work
