We are currently hiring multiple Program Managers to support strategic initiatives, events, and communications across a diverse portfolio of projects. Program Managers are considered the engine fuel of JFF’s initiatives, so this is a great opportunity to contribute to our work, develop valuable skills, and work in an equity-centered, innovative, and mission-driven environment. 

Program Managers take pride in providing overall project management support through coordinating with subject matter experts, organizing documents, gathering data, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. They are highly organized, comfortable with research and analysis, and are skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships. Ideal candidates will also be able to navigate ambiguity with flexibility and a commitment to continuously learning and improving.

What you’ll do:   

Project and Program Management 

Provide project support to the team including scheduling meetings, crafting and distributing meeting agendas, materials, notes and minutes 
Partner with project leaders to accomplish project goals by monitoring and evaluating project plans, tasks, resources, deadlines, and any post-project needs  
Conduct primary and secondary research to identify and analyze best practices and learnings from various projects 
Stakeholder Engagement 

Build and maintain effective relationships across the team and with internal and external project partners to support ongoing collaboration 
Ensure timely follow-up with partners, coordinating with and drawing in appropriate staff as necessary 
Participate in planning and facilitating meetings and events across the team 
Communication and Knowledge Management 

Work with the team to capture and share information on identified needs and strategies implemented 
Document engagements and services to support unit strategies and drive continuous improvement 
Prepare a variety of correspondence and documents such as memos, reports, and presentations; take notes and summarize key points addressed at conferences, events and meetings 
Contribute to the team’s emerging areas of work by supporting Unit leadership in developing concepts, strategies, practices, and procedures that enhance our work

Who you are:   

You have at least 3 years of relevant experience with exposure to and/or interest in education, workforce, economic development, or other social impact setting 
You have strong project management and organizational skills, can prioritize, and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
You are highly skilled at managing up and anticipating the needs of others 
You possess excellent research and writing skills, including experience generating reports, proposals, tools, and/or resources 
You are a curious and adaptive learner and are able to apply lessons learned through your work to develop new, more effective ways of working with colleagues and stakeholders 
You possess keen attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and can synthesize information and structure ideas clearly and concisely for multiple audiences 
You are excellent at working both in teams and independently 
You possess high energy and passion for JFF’s mission and can apply JFF’s core values to all areas of your work 
You model inclusive leadership and work effectively with diverse staff and support building and stewarding an organizational culture that embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion 
You contribute to positive, effective, collaborative cultures and teams wherever you work

You are able and willing to travel up to 20% (The frequency will vary according to mix of projects. Note: JFF staff travel is currently limited given the evolving context around the COVID-19 pandemic.)

August 25 – September 8: Final Interviews
