About the position:  

Jobs for the Future (JFF) is looking for a Traffic Manager, Marketing & Communications to join our growing centralized Marketing & Communications (MarComms) team. The Marketing and Communications team is rapidly expanding to meet the needs of its internal and external constituents and to maximize its potential to be a strategic partner to its key stakeholders. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Project Management, the Traffic Manager is responsible for excellent delivery on their assigned projects. Part of the job is having a deep understanding and respect for process. All of this will be done with guidance and mentorship to help this individual grow in their career. Specifically, the Project Manager will build and manage communication project plans to ensure external and internal partners are executed at a high level and within budget and deadlines.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a nimble and thoughtful individual with project management experience who is looking to strengthen their skill set in supporting a large organization’s marketing needs. This position is integral to the continued growth and success of the MarComm team. This person will facilitate marketing projects, serving as the primary MarComm liaison with JFFLabs; managing marketing projects; providing oversight, strategies, and tactics to ensure the success of our marketing efforts. 


What you’ll do:   

Relationship Building and Stakeholder Engagement  

Quickly build trust and rapport with JFF colleagues, within your Unit and across JFF, as well as external stakeholders  
Organize and facilitate meetings of diverse stakeholders across JFF to define project objectives, resource requirements, timing, and deliverables in support of organizational goals  
Develop, manage, and communicate project expectations, updates, and milestones such as status and progress reports, roadblocks/contingency plans, retrospectives, etc. to key stakeholders 
Project Management & Process Improvement  

Partner with program leads and communications managers to develop project plans, resource assignments, estimates and project timelines for funded deliverables. Manage projects from initiation, to kick-off, execution, and completion   
Manage timelines, workflow, communications, production of deliverables, and other aspects of project execution   
Monitor and evaluate project plans, tasks, resources, deadlines, and any post-project needs to accomplish project goals    
Make strategic use of knowledge management and project management tools such as Workfront, and other similar tools   
Manage vendors and/or external consultants to execute on commitments (as required) 
Reporting & Analysis  

Estimate costs for projects, track, and report on budget versus actual, ensuring we minimize the need for write-offs, by managing scope creep and accurate estimation 
Manage resource requirements and allocations for projects, as well as tracking and analyzing resource utilization 
Coordinate and lead project retrospectives to identify areas for improvement 

Who you are:   

You possess high energy and passion for JFF’s mission and the ability to apply JFF’s core values to all areas of your work 
You have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management within a marketing agency and/or communications setting 
You have the ability to drive marketing and communications projects and are comfortable making projects happen across social, web, activation, video, and strategy. 
You have exceptional organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, with the judgment to manage competing priorities, and an ability to track and drive forward varied, fluid workstreams  
You are creative, resourceful, and flexible; you enjoy jumping into new projects and can quickly build subject matter expertise and credibility  
You are thoughtful, proactive, and demonstrate a point of view about your work  
You are an innovative problem-solver that can think critically, navigate ambiguity, and inspire and motivate teams to deliver impactful work in an environment that is rapidly changing priorities due to new opportunities 
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly pivot between being an individual contributor and working in close collaboration with others   
You have experience with Project Management tools such as Workfront, Wrike or similar. Workfront experience preferred but not required  
You have some formal experience or training in project management methodologies such as traditional waterfall, agile or hybrid methodologies
