Executive Director of Enrollment Management Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Enrollment, the Executive Director of Enrollment Management Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion develops, leads, recommends, and executes creative strategies to foster Enrollment Management (EM) diversity goals. The Executive Director will work across all departments in EM with a focus on increasing diversity within the EM community. They will interact with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion and work closely with the AVC to ensure an inclusive and supportive workplace across the division for all staff. As a member of the Chief Enrollment Officer’s senior leadership team they will work with other senior leaders to advance Northeastern’s vision for a diverse and inclusive global environment by grounding the work from an equity lens.  They will have the responsibility of regularly reporting the progress of the division’s goal as it relates to the overall diversity goals of  the university. 

The Executive Director will represent Northeastern’s division of Enrollment Management to external community partners.  This includes communities around Northeastern’s campuses, community based organizations, and schools K-12. They will advise and manage formal partnerships with organizations serving diverse student populations helping to meet the EM recruitment efforts and support retention.

The Executive Director will function as the liaison between the division of enrollment management, and the Northeastern community to promote inclusion and access.  Partners include the Chief Inclusion Officer and Dean for Cultural and Spiritual Life to support the mission of the university, retention, and to ensure student support services are aligned.  They will act as liaison to Northeastern’s new centers such as the Khoury College of Computer Science’s Center for Inclusive Computing and the Burnes Family Center for Social Change and Innovation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Demonstrated expertise working effectively with enhancing racial and social equity. Able to handle complexity in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal communication and effective writing, organizational and analytical skills. Proven ability to work independently, be adaptable to new systems and procedures, and be highly responsive to staff needs and diverse perspectives. Knowledge and skills are normally acquired through a bachelors degree plus 7-10 yrs relevant experience working effectively with enhancing racial and social equity. Masters degree preferred.
