GBFB is considered an essential response organization in times of disaster. As such, Team Members are expected to report to GBFB locations as required, after securing the safety of their families, and may be asked to perform duties that are critical (but outside of their regularly assigned duties) in times of disaster.
Position Summary
Coordinate and execute financial transactions and activities, such as bill payments etc. Prepare regular financial reports and assist the Vice President of Finance and CFO in the presentation of reports to managers and executives. Create and adhere to budgets for specific departments, projects, and business needs.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure business processes, administration, and financial management.
Maintain accounting system.
Assist the Vice President of Finance in planning and forecasting activities with business partners to achieve business and company goals.
Assist the Vice President of Finance in preparing financial forecasts.
Monitor financial details to ensure legal compliance.
Analyze revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets.
Supervise Accounts Payable Team members.
Assist the Vice President of Finance in investigating means to improve profitability.
Review and processes payments.
Maintain an accurate filing and record keeping system for all financial statements and company documents.
Participates in the execution of changes to procedures, policies, and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
Cover for the Vice President of Finance in their absence.
Assist as needed in Accounts/receivable and invoicing.

Mandatory Education and Experience
BA or BS finance or accounting or related field
3-5 years managerial experience
Proven experience as a Financial Manager
Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
Demonstrates the required digital competencies that result in the effective usage of the full range of digital technologies at GBFB.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
Ability to sit a minimum of 3 hours
Lift up to 25 lbs.
Valid driver’s license
This role follows a hybrid schedule working in accordance with GBFB’s hybrid work policy. Our in-office time is used primarily for team meetings and formal and informal collaboration necessary to foster and support a positive work culture. This schedule is subject to change based on the organization’s mission to end hunger.
