The Town of Concord is seeking a conscientious, motivated and organized professional to play a critical role in providing direct support and coordination for the Town Manager and/or Deputy Town Manager. Come join the team in the Town Manager’s Office and be at the center of Concord’s local government. This position is very customer focused; strong written and verbal communication skills are essential as is the ability to work as a team to solve problems and create efficiencies. Duties include serving as: the first point of contact for resident inquiries and issues both in person and via telephone; Town Meeting Coordinator; and administrative support for various special projects and initiatives.  Knowledge and experience in local government is preferred; strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required. The successful candidate will be able to interpret and make appropriate decisions while exercising independent judgement when prioritizing tasks and juggling their workload.

Position requires in-person work, Monday-Friday, 8:30AM – 5:00PM, and occasional overtime for special projects, night meetings, and annual events such as Town Meeting; however, some flexibility in work-scheduling can be coordinated within the office.

Starting Salary Range $32.55 to $39.06; depending on qualifications.

Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including criminal and credit record checks, and a drug screening.  Costs for these pre-placement requirements will be borne by the Town.
